Our Journey & Purpose
SCF was founded by Dr. Voonna Murali Krishna, a renowned surgical oncologist hailing from the city of Visakhapatnam, along with like-minded philanthropists and well-known personalities from different walks of life, contemplating over the felt needs of the marginalized cancer patients for their medical, psycho-social care and empowering them.
SCF is registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, for undertaking Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) activities. The registration also enables donors to claim deduction on their contributions to SCF.
SCF is a catalyst organization complementing and assisting the government’s efforts in fighting cancer and today the foundation is governed by an independent board with highly reputed personalities from all walks of life.
Our organization, SCF, is the only one charitable foundation in and around Visakhapatnam District, Andhra Pradesh actively trying to create tangible solutions to the problems and pain that people are facing due to cancer.
Awareness
Cancer does not have to be a late discovery. Awareness is the first and most powerful step toward prevention and early detection.
At Shreya Cancer Foundation we focus on educating individuals and communities about the importance of recognizing early warning signs, adopting healthy lifestyles, and undergoing regular screenings. Many cancers can be prevented or successfully treated when detected early.
Through awareness sessions, community outreach programs, and corporate initiatives, we aim to break myths, reduce fear, and encourage timely medical action.
